Description: The New Education charts or Teacher’s Compendium was a teaching tool developed for use in the classroom in the 1890s. The complete compendium or flip chart of 10 double sided pages is illustrated by 5,000 chromo-lithographs depicting various schemes of arithmetic, reading, bookkeeping, civil Government and parliamentary law, basic lumber and land measurements, weights and measures and the like. The images are remarkable in the use of realistic scenes of the day for application of the studies.
