Description: These antique prints are taken from Le Jardin Fruitier, a definitive source of the time on the cultivation and training of fruit trees. The three-volume work consisted of ninety delicately hand-colored plates documenting the history, description, cultivation, and uses of fruit trees, including some of the gardening tools.
Prints show normal aging of the paper, Plate 25 has more prominent browning of the right and lower edges and margins have mottled foxing. Coloring is vivid especially the greens and the flower colors. Full page prints with visible plate lines, bound edge is untrimmed.
