Description: Sir William Jardine (1800-1874) compiled and published The Naturalist’s Library, 40 volumes of hand colored engravings and descriptions of all vertebrate species divided into 4 sections: mammals, birds, fish and insects. This antique bird print is from an early edition volume devoted to Birds of Prey including Eagles, Owls, Falcons, etc.  This vintage print is  in very good condition with deep hand coloring of the engraving and some normal age toning of paper.  Small amount of soiling at lower margin right side.  Antique prints bound edge is untrimmed and rough.
