Description: These lovely original antique prints are taken from “A Natural History of the Nests and Eggs of British Birds”, by Rev. F. O. Morris, 1st editions published in 1856 and 1859 by Groombridge, London. The color wood engravings with hand color finishing, printed by Benjamin Fawcett, known for the finest color printing of the time are on medium weight paper, blank on the reverse. The eggs are printed on a biscuit color background which varies slightly from print to print.
Double large eggs, rich color, slight age toning to edges of paper, no foxing. Bound edge is not trimmed
