Description: Rare Birdseye View of the Lake Winnipesaukee region of New Hampshire with full indexing to all of the lake islands, some 57 shown. The map spans from Little Asquam to Lake Wentworth, Alton Bay to Moultonboro Bay. The White Mountains are also indexed and labeled in the distance. The major Railroad lines are also shown. The original was produced as a pocket map and folded from its full size to about 3.5" by 6.5". Our wonderful reproduction has been digitally restored to eliminate most of the major fold lines and any tears but the rich antique patina of the map and borders is still present.
Historic birdseye maps record the evolution of cities illustrating the development and nature of economic activities, educational and religious facilities, parks, street patterns and widths, and transportation systems. Antique panoramic maps are often not drawn to scale but provide a fascinating glimpse into the history of towns and cities.
Fine art Giclee reproduction print is produced on heavy weight, matte finish, archival paper using the finest pigment inks offering excellent color and light fastness ratings of up to 100 years. Our maps are digitally retouched as needed but maintain the original age toning and antique nature that makes them wonderful decorative art as well as historical references.
Our maps are enlarged and reduce from the original image, therefore most prints are not exact standard sizes. Margins are enlarged as possible to facilitate matting and framing. Larger sizes shipped rolled in tube.
