Edward Donnaud compiled these roses as a definitive work, beautifully illustrated by a variety of French artists including Annica Bricogne and E. Grabowski. The publication included cultivation techniques and detailed discussion of the growing habits of each specimen. Each rose is meticulously reproduced, printed in color with a significant amount of hand color finishing to the flower heads. The prints are in excellent condition; the color is vivid and there is little to no foxing on the paper. Paper show age toning to the edges.
