Description: Pocket map of New England Trolley lines originally published in 1904, this one appears to be a 1905 edition.  This original bird’s eye view map, lithographed by the George Walker Co and published by the New England Street Railway Club extends north as far as Lewistown, Brunswick and Yarmouth; south to Narraganset Bay, Newport and New Bedford; and west as far as Worcester.  The antique map shows train and trolley routes throughout the region and also notes various lighthouses, historic sites, geographical features, and cities.   The popular routes are highlighted with inset maps including: Springfield-Turners Falls; Worcester-Springfield; Springfield-New York City; Pittsfield and Vicinity; Rochester-Nashua; Portsmouth-Lewiston; and a triangle route from Worchester to Providence to New London and back. Overview of the Boston area appears in the upper left corner.  Trolley map includes the cover still intact attached to the side of the map. Cover includes advertisements for Wayfinder maps and a timetable for trolley lines.   Map back includes numerous advertisements of the day.

Other than folds, map in excellent condition without any tears or stains.  There is some ghosting of the advertisements from the back to the front, easily cured with a black acid free backer.  Map is only slightly age toned and colors are still vivid.
